Frequently Asked Questions – Skin Care Range

We are currently using shea butter from the shea nut tree that grows in Northern Uganda, Olive oil, Sunflower seed oil, Black Seed oil, Castor oil, Jojoba oil and Vitamin E and a number of fragrance blends.

More details about each ingredient can be found in our ingredients profile.

Anyone with normal to dry skin can comfortably use our body care range. If you are eczema-prone, but not highly sensitive to fragrances, you can comfortably use our products too. Patch testing is highly recommended.

We do not encourage the use of scented products on the face, as facial skin is a lot more sensitive than the rest of the body. If you do have a normal to dry skin type, you can comfortably use the body balm on your face. (as long as you don't have sensitive skin). Patch testing for facial products is always encouraged, to note any possible skin reactions.

If you are struggling with any particular skin challenges such as acne, high sensitivity, etc, we strongly recommend that you see a dermatologist or skin specialist,  who can give professional advice on what would work best for you.

We encourage you to always keep your body balms in cool conditions, and away from extreme heat and sunlight.

If your body butter has completely melted to a liquid form, you can pop it in your  freezer, and allow it to solidify completely. Once you take it out, it will slowly return to an ideal state at room temperature.

This doesn’t destroy the butter and its beneficial properties.
