KEEPING FRESH IN THE HEAT

Feeling the heat lately? It's been hotter than usual from January to March, which means more sweating, stickiness, and unwanted smells.

Here are some tips to stay fresh during the heat:

– Take more showers! One shower a day won’t cut it. You’ll feel much better with a shower at the start and end of your day.

– Use deodorant and/or antiperspirant after your shower. Deodorant will help with body odor, while antiperspirant can reduce sweating. You can find many 2-in-1 options on the market.

– Keep wet wipes with you, especially if you sweat a lot. They’re always handy to freshen up.

– Wear light clothes that don’t trap heat. Check out Rebecca Nanjego’s video on this. Here’s the link.

– Stay hydrated! The heat can dehydrate you quickly, so drink at least 2 liters of water a day.

Don't forget the sunscreen!

We love Essentials by Dr. Kirabo. It’s perfect for dark skin and also serves as a moisturizer. It’s packed with antioxidants like Vitamin E and green tea to keep your skin healthy and glowing.
If you’re like me and have normal to dry skin, you’ll love how well our body balm works. It’s the perfect match!

Remember, the heat isn't an excuse to skip moisturizing.

Our body oils are a lightweight alternative to butters. Pair them with your lotions or use them alone. After moisturizing, spritz on your favorite perfume. Layer bright scents that are perfect for the heat. Try fruity and tropical scents like pineapple, peach, and apple, or citrusy scents like grapefruit and lemon. Our top picks for body oils in the heat are Grapefruit & Ginger, Tropical Island and Fresh Breeze for the gents.
